Saints know no strangers

Shouldn't we all live here?  Taken in Boston's North End.

ANYTHING goes??

Read the lettering on the bottom of the truck closely!
Taken on my iPhone (when it was still legal to take pictures in MA while in the driver's seat)

Testing! Testing! Hello, is anybody out there?

4th attempt at a post.
2nd day in February.
6th, or 7th, or 8th snow day since the first day of the year.  I've lost track.

Completely unable to decide on what to blog about.
Gave it up and decided to blog about it all, because Laetifica means joyous, and so I hope + promise + plan to post about what gives me joy, what cheers me and gladdens my heart.

So I will be posting about:
reading
cooking
knitting
reading
fashion
music
reading
decorating
reading
family
reading
crafting
and a little light reading...

perhaps reading is especially on my mind because after 3 intense semesters of grad school, I am not taking any academic classes this semester (YAY! NO FINALS!!)  and so I can READ without guilt.  This is not to say I didn't read for pleasure over the past year and a half, but it was with a finely tuned sense of Catholic guilt.

So for my first post, I decided to post a few of my favorite things (cue Julie Andrews):

My favorite southern food... I get boiled peanuts every year during my annual pilgrimage mission trip to Mississippi

Is that not the cutest picture EVER???   My niece AJ just turned one last week.
There is no music like Vivaldi and no one plays Vivaldi like Joshua Bell.  Trust me on this.

Cape Cod.  Lobsters.  Enough said.  (The pic is of my bro, father of the cutie-patootie above).

A love story with detective interruptions.
